Other Works

Mateyo Jakobi has been a journalist since 2009, reporting under the name Matthew Jacobson. He began his media career at Dixie Sun News in St. George before moving onto The Spectrum, part of the USA Today Network. In 2018, he joined the team at KSL TV, the Utah NBC affiliate, before becoming senior digital producer at KUTV 2News, Utah’s CBS affiliate. In 2025, Mateyo left the news industry to focus solely on art. However, telling a great story is something he’ll always love, so he’s keeping that journalism door open just a crack, just in case.
